Age UK East Sussex is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for 70 years. We have 40 dedicated staff and over 190 amazing volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in East Sussex.

ASSOCIATION OF CARERS
The Association of Carers provides free, volunteer-led services to unpaid Carers in East Sussex in the hope of reducing the sense of isolation experienced by many carers. This includes respite and befriending visits, computer help, telephone support, online activities, lunch clubs, Carers’ Cafes and more. The carers they support come from a range of backgrounds, and are caring for people living with a range of conditions/disabilities.

CARE FOR THE CARERS
Do you look after someone who couldn't manage without your help? Care for the Carers is the Carers Centre for East Sussex. They provide free practical and emotional advice – face to face, by telephone, or online, and can help you navigate and access the range of services available locally. They also offer support groups, activities, events and training – whether you are interested in speaking up on important issues, or having time out to relax and meet new people.

DEMENTIA SINGING EXPERIENCE, SUSSEX
Dementia Singing Experience, Sussex take structured and interactive singing, activity and craft sessions into community day care centres, dedicated care homes and memory cafes supporting those living with dementia. Our sessions are unique in the fact that we approach every individual and make sure that everyone feels relaxed and at ease. We get to know our clients, have a real connection with them and make sure no-one is left out.

MEMORY LANE - EASTBOURNE
Memory Lane Eastbourne is a registered charity providing social activities for people with dementia and their carers to attend together. Our focus is keeping people with dementia active and socially engaged. Memory Lane is all about enjoying activity that is manageable, fulfilling and fun. It is an opportunity for jointly sharing interests between carer and cared (husband & wife or mother and daughter for example) with the aim of being of benefit to both parties.

MUSIC FOR THE MEMORY
Music for the Memory is a local charity that supports those living with dementia or experiencing memory issues. We run fun, free, no obligation sessions on a Monday morning which primarily involves singing but also includes some physical (seated or standing) and vocal exercises, as well as a short quiz. We are a very friendly charity and support both the cared for and the carer. No experience is required for any of our sessions because it is all about fun and enjoyment. AGE CONCERN EASTBOURNE
An independent local charity for older people in Eastbourne providing activities, most of which are dementia friendly, as well as services, information and advice to enhance the experience of later life.

ST WILFRID'S HOSPICE
St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides end of life care to the people of Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield and all points in between. They offer care through many different services, including the Inpatient Unit, Hospice at Home Team, Living Well Centre and the 24/7 Nurse Line, as well as their Counselling Support Service. Their vision is of a community where people can talk openly about dying, live well until the end of their lives and where nobody dies alone, afraid or in pain.

DISC DEMENTIA SUPPORT
DISC provides free support and information for carers of people living with dementia all the way through and beyond the caring journey. This can be over the phone, by post, through email, or in the form of facilitated support groups and information courses which are also free. DISC also offers paid for tailored packages for corporate staff training.

3VA is an organisation that empowers, supports and develops social and voluntary action in East Sussex, and they prioritise their efforts to those in greatest need. WILLINGDON MANOR PARK CARE HOME
This new care home in Eastbourne is being built with the latest award-winning design innovations that Hallmark Care Homes has been recognised for, complete with a Victorian style orangery. The home will feature a cinema, café, hair salon and therapy rooms as well as being surrounded by landscaped gardens. Willingdon Park Manor is due to open in Autumn 2022 and will offer high quality residential, nursing and dementia care.

BEECHWOOD GROVE CARE HOME
Beechwood Grove in Eastbourne, is part of the Oakland Care group of homes. The purpose-built care home offers high standards of residential, nursing, memory and respite care in a homely and comfortable setting. The home has 60 individual, pri-vate en-suite rooms and state-of-the-art facilities including an air-conditioned bistro area, a cinema room, hair salon, day lounges, and landscaped garden areas and terraces with panoramic views for residents to enjoy.
